Genius Road Bike, Carbon Fibre Fork, 105 Groupset + Accessories, Dunedin in Roslyn, Manawatu-Wanganui for sale
Hi all,
Looking to part with my Genius Granfondo road bike as I'm leaving the country and can't take it with me. It comes with heaps of accessories to get you started. I'm a male around 5'8 (5'9 on a good day) and my girlfriend is around 5'4" or 5'5", and we've both ridden it comfortably, so best suited to a rider within that height range. Here's some info on the bike and the accessories I'm including as well:
- Aluminum frame Genius Granfondo
- Carbon fibre fork
- Full Shimano components with full 105 group set (this is top of the mid-level stuff for Shimano)
- Flight deck shifters (integrated brake levers/shifter levers)
- Drivetrain replaced (chain and rear cassette) within the last year
- Helmet
- Floor pump
- Hand pump
- Chain oil
- Allan key set (for adjusting seat post height etc.)
- Lights
- Spare patches
- Lock
- Waterbottle (if you need one)
The bike is rideable as-is and can be ridden away after purchase. I ride it myself around once a week. However, there are some things that could use replacement or adjustment, as follows:
- Tyres - They're pretty worn and should be replaced immediately. I do ride with them as-is, but they should be swapped out.
- Gears could use adjustment, specifically rear derailleur. This is a cheap fix at the shop or you can do yourself if you're handy.
- Bottom bracket - it was making some crunchy noises for awhile. It has since stopped, but it may need re-greasing, or replacement. It's fine right now but something to keep in mind.
- Frame has some dents etc. These are all cosmetic.
That's about it. It's a great, light, responsive little bike that I've ridden up saddle hill, mt cargill road, blueskin road, to mosgiel, aramoana and the tip of the peninsula. I'd take it with me if I could, but I can't.
Ideally I'd like to swap it for a digital camera. My point-and-shoot is on its way out, so looking for something else for upcoming travels. Otherwise I'd accept a cash offer.
